Anna Geraets

Physiotherapist

I have been practicing as a physiotherapist since graduating from AUT in 2007. I have worked in private practice clinics and Pilates studios in both New Zealand and Australia. While in Australia I was owner/physiotherapist in my own clinic and pilates studio in Newcastle NSW from 2013 to 2019, supervising 2-3 employee physios, at a time. I returned to New Zealand with my young family in 2019.

I have been using Pilates with my clients either through rehab programs or in small group studio classes since 2011. In 2016 I added Pelvic and Women’s health to my practice .

As a physiotherapist my clinical style has always been “hands-on”, utilising techniques such as massage and trigger point dry needling in order to achieve improvement in movement and body awareness. I then rely on exercise and Pilates to consolidate optimal movement, postural awareness and strengthening.

I am registered with the Physiotherapy Board NZ, ACC, PNZ, and the PNZ PWMH SIG. You do not need a referral. I am also registered with Southern Cross Easy Claim for onsite claiming.

Silverdale Physio

I am basing my main clinical hours out of “The Connection” in Silverdale. You will find The Connection at Unit 20, 2181 East Coast Road. The Connection is located through the glass door to the far left of the block of buildings, above the OMG Bakery.

Parking is available by using either car parks marked as “the connection” or the many “90min” car spaces in the parking lot.

I am available Mondays and Fridays, with some further casual hours around this. Please make use of the book online tool to book yourself into these days, or email me directly if you have any questions. You can also call and leave a message on my work mobile, 0210646141. I try to answer messages most days, but you will get a quicker response to emails.

Pilates at Silverdale Physio

I have been using pilates for rehabilitation since 2011. I’m currently working on fitting in some equipment into my clinic space so we can work on some 1:1 pilates sessions.

Stillwater Physio – Anna’s Home Clinic

I moved to Stillwater with her family in 2021; a place I had always been drawn to as I grew up on the North Shore of Auckland. My family and I love the Stillwater community and have happily laid down our roots. And so Stillwater Physio, my humble little home clinic, was born. This originally was intended as casual work to support my main clinical hours in Auckland CBD, but with the arrival of our 3rd child in November 2023, I decided to base more hours closer to home and Silverdale Physio swiftly moved from being a brainstorm to a clinic.

If you need to register an injury with ACC you complete an ACC form through the clinic. If you book an “ACC initial appointment” online, an email confirmation will be sent automatically with an ACC online application form and an initial consent form. If you already have an ACC number registered for your injury, please bring the ACC45 number for the claim with you. If the claim is still current this can be used for your treatment, even if you have already been seeing another health care professional. As long as it is still active and relevant to your current presentation. If you’re unsure, don’t worry! These forms are not sent directly to ACC, and I will ensure we have everything needed to register you with ACC during your clinic session.
